I have used this product for several years and have been happy with its performance. However, last year I filed early as the experts tell you to, but all the updates weren't in yet. So, I had to file an amended return to get the large refund I was owed and it took many months to get the return. Otherwise it would have gotten 5 starts...just wait for all the updates.

I have been using Block software for many years. It is easy to bring in last year’s information to the new year. State return also works well as does e-filing. I espet to continue using the product.

I've used H&R Block tax software for over ten years now. It's a straightforward enough program most anyone can use it. My only gripe with it is sometimes it hides things from you. When my wife had qualifying medical expenses one year, for example, I got through the entire program without seeing a thing about where to include those. It's in there, I found it... but I'd have appreciated it if, at some point, it asked me if I had them.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I typically purchase this software, even though the final stage of filing and printing is a bit cumbersome. Sometimes the errors (so-called) in the audit are obtuse, and it takes a while to figure out a solution.
