I've been using HRB tax software for ten years or so and haven't been disappointed yet. They absorb IRS changes quickly and make them easy to understand so you can comply.

Does the job. I have some tax background so just jumping to the correct forms is a nice feature. Less of an interview process than others so someone who knows nothing of taxes may find the process more challenging.

The software is a great time saver at a low cost. Easy to use. Have used it for several years. Local tax form though not part of the flow. Need to search for. Also first time having to pay IRS through efile. Instructions were not clear to me. Hence I ended up having to pay a penalty. If the software asks for credit card info I expected the process was automatic. It’s not. Didn’t see the fine print.
