Bad last year and even worse this year. I am so done with H&R Block. I was not even able to file this year due to their server issues. I had to file an extension. I deal with their quirky software every year with its obvious errors that should have easily be corrected before release. I have tried so so so hard to be loyal but not even being able to e-file due to their it issues was the last straw for me and my family. Ten years ago, i would have given a 5 star review but year by year quality is dropping to now not even useable. Get out before its too late!

I have used this product for several years and have been very pleased with the time it takes to prepare the tax and to submit. Each year, however, I find myself paying a small amount due to not using the correct minimum distribution on a health account. Somehow, the tax program is not seeing this, or it is not entered correctly. I almost think that the IRS is charging me for the new balance because I did not use any of it the previous year and the tax software is only using the current year's amount being put into the account.

Taxcut 23 was rather vexing. The W2 import tool imported my W2 under my spouse. The issue was not easy to spot, which required a call to the Help Desk. The issue even took a while for the Help Desk analyst to resolve. However , the professional that assisted me was very patient, kind, and professional. I also experienced an issue with the State return. There's a section for State and City retirees that was quit misleading. I received a correction return from the State. While reviewing the correction, I found that there's more information about the deduction in Taxcut; however, scrolling is required and is not evident. The deduction is based on age and I was clearly not eligible. However, the verification tool did not catch the mistake. I've used Taxcut for many years now and never had any issues in the past. I would urge Taxcut to be more attractive to utilities used within the application. These two issues have tainted my trust in Taxcut.
