Long term user for the most part very satisfied. Mostly clear and easy to use. Sometimes get referred to for to fill stuff out, this can be confusing. Sold my stock in K corporations because SW didn’t handle very well. Can’t import info from some financial institutions.

I bought the 2023 tax software and have been using it for years. It was great in carrying over my solar tax credit from the year before. My income id lower now that I am retired and it calculated out how much to claim last year and this year as well as the next to get the full benefit from installation of solar panels.I was not aware that it can be dispersed over 5 years to get the full benefit.

Overall I am pleased with H&R Block tax software. My only complaint or concern is that it seems I have so little control over the process. I wish I could open a separate window displaying my 1040 in full and watch what happens when I answer the questions, to see what is filled in and basically the whole progress of the 1040 completion.

I am a H&R Block Deluxe for many years, it has wonderful features and values, very easy to use. The only thing needs to improve, in my view, is the software update details. Even after I completed fed and state tax returns (submitted them and the returns were accepted) already, when the software is restarted, first thing it is still checking and asking for new update. Most new updates should be irrelevant to most people, but quite annoying. You might need to classify updates in categories: emergency, major, minor, trivial, etc., and/or provide more details about the new updates, to give people better idea how to deal with the updates after completing the tax returns.
