I have used HRB tax software for years and it helps me prepare my return by allowing entry of data as available and make changes along the way to getting my return finalized. The incremental charge for e-filing a state return after paying for the added state is irritating. Also a basic deduction of dividends for corporations in Illinois is not supported on the state return. Integrated deduction pro is very useful for the donation of goods.
The feature of automaticly filling in data from previous years returns saves a lot of time and helps with accuracy when completing the current returns.
Simplifies complex tax rules Charged for 3 state programs only ordered 2 and used 3

I have purchased H&R Block Deluxe for many years in order to complete my Federal and State income tax returns. I have never had any problems to date, and I get my refunds in a timely manner each time. It is a good feeling to know that when my taxes are done, I can relax and be assured that I will have no problems with the processing of my returns, and that I don't need to worry about facing an audit due to mistakes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

We’re so happy to hear you had a good experience. We appreciate your business and thank you for the valuable feedback!
If you're doing a basic return, this works well to walk you the areas and steps for completing your return. It's when it gets complicated that it's buyer beware. If deducting sales taxes, check what the IRS flat number is before calculating your own, their number has improved. If you paid quarterly taxes for the first time and had a large amount paid in a later quarter due to a ROTH conversion or maybe even an RMD then, don't go through the rigamarole of calculating your income and taxes each month; read what the software presents extra carefully, it's confusing as well as in small font. Be sure to print and re-check everything in case you/the gremlins inadvertently deleted or forgot something.
