So-So Software

I have used another software program for many years and thought I would try H&R Block this year because it was a few dollars less. Next year I’m going back to the other. This software was not as clear and specific as the other. It took me longer to prepare my taxes because of my insecurities in the system.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don’t trust the data transferred from prior years.

The program transferred the wrong 2017 AGI. As a result both my Federal and State returns were rejected. It took me several hours to get it corrected.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Many Worthwhile Features

The program has several easy ways to navigate to any point in your return. Direct capture of last year's information is a snap. Interview process is very thorough. Have been using H&R Block for at least 15 yrs and have always been satisfied.

Using HR Block software makes the changes to income tax laws easy to navigate. The time savings are enormous. Software is easy to use.
