Just Superb!

Started using H&R Block at least ten years ago. Consistently fast, easy, and accurate. In all that time, only had to ask one question that wasn't clear in the software guidance--that is to me just amazing! Found deductions I didn't know about, got me through doing my own taxes even the first year I retired with all the changes that brought. Outstanding for both federal and state returns.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using H&R Block's tax software for more than a decade. I have always found it to be very easy to use and I feel confident preparing and filing my taxes this way.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare

Great layout

Very happy with your software the only problem I had was my desk top computer not booting up so I had to manually input all my payee information on my surface. Purchase my software from Amazon in March because I did not receive a disk from your company until June, use to receiver them Dec/Jan.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I feel like I am going in circles

I had to file for a federal extension. I paid what I owed but when I got to the state tax for NY, it told me to go to another site, request the extension and pay NY what I owed....but the program never completed my NY taxes. It never told me what if any that I owed. Pretty hard to file my NY taxes this way!!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
Pros: Easy to install
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't check status!!! My return disappeared.

I bought this product last week. It went smoothly. E-filed my return got accepted by the IRS.
But...when I checked the status the following day, it was no where to be found. I can't check if my refund is coming or was my return stolen.

Good overall and simple to open forms. Like the option to bundle long and short term capital gains. On the negative side does not support all codes on publicly traded k-1s.
I also had an issue this year where the software pulled my taxable income from my last years return instead of agi causing my efile to reject. Overall good value for money.

Have used this tax preparation software for at least past 10 years. Very satisfied with results. One must accumulate and organize the relevant documents for preparation of tax returns regardless of who/how returns are prepared. Once the documents are put together, it's just as easy to input the information into this software, as opposed to spending more to have a tax preparation firm do essentially the same thing. Especially for relatively easy and low complexity returns. The software program performs the interview that the paid tax preparer would do in their offices.
