I have been filing electronically using H&R Block for almost 15 years! The software does most of the hard work for you and additionally keeps you apprised of any new tax information during each filing period. Wouldn't use anything else!

I buy this way in advance when the price is cheapest. I do wish the updates came quicker as there are times that I'm forced to wait to be able to file, although that may be the fault of the federal/state governments. Also, the extra state modules are a bit on the expensive side.
Regardless, I'm very happy with the product and will use again next year.

A few simple changes could make it excellent. First, their should be the ability to download all external tax data early. Second, options to ignore state tax questions if you are filing from a state without income taxes. And 3rd and most important, if you know that you will be taking the standard, deduction, don't be forced to complete the interactive stuff related to itemized deductions. Otherwise it's great and worth the price.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
