I’ve used the software for over twenty years and have found it easy and very time saving. However the state of Ohio would not accept the 1099’s that were electronically sent. I was then required to mail the original 1099,s which defeats the purpose of electronic filing.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Have used HR Block software for over twenty years. I not only like it for completing my current year returns but it’s also an excellent tool to use for tax planning how to mimimize next year’s taxes.

After an update of the software, it did not show that I had a refund coming from the state of Missouri. It showed -0- for refund or owed to Missouri. Also, it would not let me decide how I wanted the refund paid to me. Luckily I had previously ask for the refund to be applied to 2024 taxes, and that appears not to have been affected. The printed Missouri tax return showed that it was to be applied to 2024, so I hope that is want happened. I guess that I will not know for sure until next year. I did report this software area and at last checked it was not corrected. I have used H&R Block software for many years, but I never will again.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Second year in a row I’ve had this problem. Have a MacPro with the Monterrey OS V12. Program works great until I have to print a copy of the return. The font is totally blown up - only get about 1/8 of it on a page.
The work around is to save the return as a pdf file - after I have to delete my printer options. Why should I have to do that?

your mi. state software imported some ridiculous credits that I couldn't delete from my previous year return ,because I couldn't find them. This forced me to hand write my state return.
