The federal part of the program worked fine. There was a problem with how the state program handled 1099R's. It was leaving some of them out (my situation involved multiple 1099R's from the same payer). I was able to force them in to get a correct state return. I let your company know about the software error, but it was not fixed by the time I filed my return.

If your return is a pretty basic USA based return, it works well. Once you start using less common features, however, there is a good possibility that it will break and you will have to manually go into the forms to fix it. Honestly, if I weren't tied into its ability to import in my old info, including long term loss, I would probably switch to something else that was more automatic.
Always have used the Fed with no problems and fast electronic return. The SC return has an error. It calculated the LT capital gain wrong. Have not been able to get anyone's attention. Been like this forever. need contact info to talk to state reps.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

Kept telling me more updates cant file till downloaded. Didnt get till month and half after purchasing. Filed and then another update came.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
