Easier to file than using paper. But this year something glitched for me and it didn't actually do the electronic federal filing. I have no idea how this happened, I don't know if it was something I did or something in the program. I discovered this 1 month after the April filing deadline, hopefully I won't have a big penalty.
I'm not going to take the time to try to figure out what might have happened. I know I didn't buy or pay for electronic state filing (what a rip-off!) and maybe somehow selecting only federal for electronic filing without state caused the issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I used to use TurboTax but switched to H&R several years ago. I have been happy with this software. It stays up-to-date, is reasonably easy to use, and suggests items you may have forgotten. You still must keep up with current law changes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
