I trust H&R Block software completely. For a reasonable price, it walks you through the process, even downloading investment statements, with ease. The only caveat on the state tax is that, while it does transfer data from federal, it costs an additional fee to file. The state also did not handle a 1099-R with 2 codes correctly.
So, five stars for Federal but 3 for State.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

If you want to "look ahead" into a potential deduction / credit H&R Block Deluxe is MUCH easier to use than TurboTax Deluxe. I used TurboTax Deluxe the past 3 years - I'll be using H&R Block's Deluxe package from now on.
