The software did not know how to handle an rmd that was transferred between two ira accounts at different custodian Banks. It charged the wrong tax. Then, the system was unable to properly respond when I removed data related to the rmd transfer. Ultimately, I had to start an entire new return from scratch to bypass the problem. Fortunately, a web page on the IRS website clearly showed that the transfer was non-taxable. It seems like the h&r block software should have known this and been able to calculate correctly.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

A simple and convenient tool to file inccome tax

I have been using H&R Block software to file income tax returns for years. It's simple and convenient to use; and best of all, it's very reasonable in cost. Before the arrival of personal computer and Internet, I used pencil and paper filing and it took days to complete the filing. With H&R software, it now takes only a couple of hours to get it done!
