I waited until Sunday before tax day to file. The servers were down when I went to file and stayed down until Monday evening. I was happy to finally be able to file before missing the deadline. Not the greatest feeling with the unknown but it worked out, luckily.
I followed program but still got noticed by IRS that amount I paid was short.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use H&R every year and noticed that when it’s time get help the software is not helpful at all. The built-in help (knowledge base) can’t cover all aspects but it’s quick to kick you out without a resolution. Getting help on the phone is simply impossible. Giving the appearance of having support in place is not the same as actually providing a useful help option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
