No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this at least a month before having to use it and I'm very glad I did. I decided to use TurboTax the year before (2023) and decided after that experience to not do that again --- ever.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Easy but I found 2 system errors. One was fixed by promise date so I just had to wait to submit. However the worksheet for home energy product had flaw so had to answer a question incorrectly to get the credit to go through
I'm a long time user and appreciate the simplicity and year to year ease of importing last year's return. My return is not complicated so I'm believing all is correct. Love the interface and ease of filing. Less expensive than main competitors but that's a bonus.

I have been using HR Block software since it was TaxCut, some 20 years. It has been progressively getting worse, it is so bad now that I will never use your software again. The straw that broke the camel's back was this past due date. I tried to submit it several days before the April deadline and could not. I was getting a rejection from the IRS and had to make changes and attempted many times over the weekend trying to get it to go through. I had thought that this was mine or the IRS rejecting the claim. It turns out that it was your software. Never again will I rely on your incompetence.
