The product allowed me to do taxes but since I was unable to upload them, I had to print everything out to file. The system failed to explain that the problem was on your end, causing hours of wasted time attempting to "fix" something on my end.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great, easy to use product that I've used for many years now.
But what happened on April 15th? Returns couldn't be filed, and it wasn't clear why or what happened. If hacked, was any return compromised? Will cost of program rise next year to cover expenses occurred as a result of the 4-15 issue? Disappointed that day and I have to answer: was it worth the hassle and should I stay with HRB for next year's filing? TBD!

24 hours of stress is not worth using the software that won't actually submit taxes. My wife told me not to wait, but I was travelling that last week, so not being able to send them really made her Night!! We have been using H&R Block for 6 years, but are now evaluating new software for next. I was in the process of filing an extension and created an IRS account to pay so that we would not get a penalty. H&R failed it's most basic task and created a sleepless night and way to much stress. Perhaps less managers and more engineer's are needed. They have lost their way.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using H&R Block's software for the past several years and it has made my federal and state tax filing easy and efficient. Even as my filings have become more complex with home ownership, investments and donations, H&R Block's software has kept up and taken any uncertainty out of my filings. I am a fan!

The help feature on the tax software is not great. There is no live help through chat/phone for tax queries. Also import from PDFs is not there. Manual entries will lead to more human errors. Tax filing deadline extension is never conveyed to the customer. Apart from that rest of the things are good to get the tax filing completed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
