I was not aware of what seems to be a new credit for real estate taxes for NY state. I had planned the balance between my income and tax withholding to break even at $0, which to me is a personal ideal wrt my tax filings; however this year H&R block found an additional credit that I would not have gotten if doing my simple taxes by hand.
Mind you, I don't know if other Tax SW packages would have also identified this real-estate tax credit.

You could have done a better job communicating that the NY return was free. It did not come up in logical sequence. I was under the impression, since I was primarily filing NJ, but had my son's return who lived in NYC, that the NY return would cost extra. Thus I filed just Federal, but it turned out you had to file both together. That's assuming I knew the NY return would be free and available. Overall pretty poor on that aspect.
Pros: Easy to import documents
