Finished my Federal return with no error messages. Finished the state return with no errors. When I tried to E-file the return I can’t because there are 8 errors preventing that. I was able fix the issues which were data entry omissions and an error that I made, but these should have been identified way before I tried to e-file. This cost me way too much time to resolve when these problems should have been identified before I moved to the next entry screen.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything went well on Fed return and I submitted it. Then I was doing my state return and before I submitted I quit the program to check some data. When I started it up again a notice appeared that there was a Fed update. I clicked update and it did the update. I continued my State return but when it came time to submit it it would not let me. Apparently, the flag that indicated I had submitted my Fed return was deleted by the update. I couldn't even print the State return for mailing as there a water mark on the PDF pages saying it was not for submission. I ended up having to do it be hand!
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using this software for many years. Most of the time it is easy to follow. When there are unusual circumstances (like amending a return), it can be a little hard to follow the first time through. The user needs to be familiar with his own income and deductions.for this program to be useful.
