I have used H&R Block software to to file my taxes for many years. I was surprised by the change in how I list medical expenses, but I am assuming that was a change at the Fed forms leve and not a change in the software. I will now save my receipts in a different manner so it is easier to fill in the diferent categories of medical expenses next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

2nd consecutive year of huge frustration trying to file. Will use alternate software for 2024 filing. Is a shame, other than that failure has been a great package used for many years

The H&R Block software did not allow for an override of the taxable amount of a retirement distribution similar to how the TaxSlayer software works. The result of this was a higher amount of taxable income and a lower refund in my case.
