I had trouble with the software for the first time in over a decade. Although the matter was referred to IT, it was Titus Lake who was able to zero in on the problem which was my data entry for our W-2s.

I have been a user of H&R Block Deluxe Software for 6 years. I will continue to use it forever. This software is very easy to use and it makes filing your taxes an easy task. In all the times that I have used it I haven't had any problem with accuracy. I would and have recommended, this software to many of my friends,

I have used TaxCut software for years. H&R Block acquired it several years ago. So, I am a loyal user. In an away, it is what I know and no reason to change. The software is easy and straightforward and free filing makes it even better. However, the help or support is not as elaborate as it used to be in earlier versions. Because my tax is simple and straightforward, I will just keep using it.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

HRBlock should have done a much better job alerting buyers for its software that it would not run on earlier computers!! Was the 2023 TaxPrep revision so valuable that it was worth forcing people to find a newer PC to use the software on?
I THINK NOT! The value rests not in the processor, but in the clear logic path and comprehensive questions that help the taxpayer arrive at the most accurate result.
