Fairly straight forward tax preparation software. Handles some level of complication of returns. Could use a bit more sophistication in comparing estimated tax payment for penalty calculation (it lets you click through the screens without verifying information and miscalculates the results that you won't find until you do the final error check).
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I've used H&R over the years. This was different, the first option was to complete, and it requested my password for my retirement account to transfer the info! No way!!! After reading the email several times, I found where I could download to my computer and file online. Buyer beware.

Have used H&R for many years and data from last year's return imports smoothly every year. MN state return asks for an explanation of tax exempt income which was not clearly referenced in the program. Once found I kept notes for future years to be able to answer easily.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I use it every year, love the past year and w2 port feature, wish they had a save license, health plan numbers, clipboard to save typing those long numbers. Other than that no complaints.
