I've been buying this for many years. It has had the same issue of not knowing what to do about a 4K monitor for at least 5 versions. Otherwise it is reliable and predictable.

Easy to use, but oversimplified causing errors

Overall easy to use but oversimplified questions about SEP IRA, Simple IRA. “ Did you contribute to Simple IRA?” Presented as yes/no question. Entered Yes. But. The fine print is that you only enter Yes IF you are self employed. This caused unknown errors. Filed taxes. Then discovered the errors and had to scramble at last minute to refine correction. Had to refile on paper with state. It was a total waste of Time. Need to clarify better.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Been using HRBlock software for a few years with no problem but this year it refuses to recognize a simple IRA to Roth conversion properly forcing me to do a workaround to complete my taxes. It was an obvious software bug but was not patched up to tax time.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
