I have bought H&R block software every year for a decade. This year's version was extremely buggy. Also, my code would not go through to submit my taxes so I had to pay for it. Turbo tax it is next year.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had always entered data manually, but did not know how to enter the data from one source, so I tried importing it automatically, and was very pleased with the results.

2023 was the first year I used HR Block deluxe + state for the first time by myself. My Dad would help me the previous years using the same. It was so easy to use and understand. If something was missing or recommended, the software would let me know.

I have been a TaxCut user for decades. Tried another product once and was not happy with it. The accuracy check, importing of brokerage transactions and online filing are particularly helpful.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
