Confusing sections

I find the sections regarding which health care and health insurance premiums are deductible to be confusing for federal and NM state forms, and the section regarding which state income taxes had been paid, with regard to payments made in current year for prior year, to be quite confusing. And, I had trouble on the federal filing to determine whether the checking account debit info had been successfully entered. If these parts could be clarified, I would give H&R Block a better rating. Regardless, I have used your software for numerous years and prefer it to the other software I tried one year.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
Pros: Easy to install
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still some things missing...

For multiple real estate rentals, I think you need a page header of some sort so the user can be confident of what top level item is being addressed.
After entering electronic 1099-B, still have to go to each entry to get rid of red "!". You need a shortcut. I don't know as much as the broker does about the transactions so it's a great waste of time.

IP PINs are hard to find and enter appropriately

First, the program does not clearly ask during the interview whether one has an IP PIN. Second, it is not easy to find how to do it when the feds reject. There should be a clear request and route WHEN THE INTERVIEW IS BEING FILLED OUT. If there is no IP PIN to enter, the program is very good.

Only one problem

Have used this product for years and love it. This year everything is very clearly stated throughout that my husband is deceased. And STILL communication comes back to me in his name. He has never purchased or used the software. This is one area where automation fails. Also, software would not let me file State electronically even though I met all State requirements to do so. First time I've ever had an issue so will use it again next year

Usually big Fan but 2016 software, not so much!

I had print issues with the 2016 Deluxe and State pkg. Possibly related to wireless printers and/or the pdf software. Had to save documents and screen prints to a flash and print on a hardwired printer. Huge inconvenience. Normally I have success with this product. I will continue to purchase it and hope they get the problem fixed. I know of others who had same issue.

Difficult to Navigate Corrections

The program is fine but very hard to navigate if you have to correct something. This year I went back in to add some minor charitable deductions and it threw the whole return off. I've used this software for years but this has happened before.
There needs to be a clear way for the user to go back and re-do a section, through the program, rather than by trying to navigate by forms. It took me several hours to figure out something that was correct but I couldn't tell from the view on the screen.
