Poor UI design, unfathomable and counter intuitive explanations of the tax code, and a parasitic middle man that lobbies against a free and fair tax software from the IRS

The program did not work, unable to update or load my information to the IRS did not get completed for the IRS update until days/weeks from it should. I had to get a third MAC copying the software and my data to get a IRS data loaded and sent for to government happy for me. The software is the second year in a time for issues like this, so I'm not with H&R as the software for a MAC sucks.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Second year of use due to Turbo Tax new operational requirement on Mac.
Turbo Tax easier to use especially Hawaii State tax form setup of Estimated Tax for following year to avoid tax penalty. Unknowingly penalty had to be paid which cost more than tax software cost. RMD input was confusing.

When I started my return in February, I entered distribution amounts for my spouse’s inherited IRA which she inherited from her mother. It was showing as not taxable even though it IS taxable. The fix to the software was eventually made, but I did not expect an error in the software at that point in the tax season. It was not related to any new tax law or regulation.
