I used this product even when it was just Taxcut, before HR Block bought it, do I'm very loyal, but next year I may try a different software package for my taxes because I have never been able to file electronically with this software. So I feel like I'm paying for something I'm not receiving. It would be nice if the H&R development team would find helpful suggestions when a return gets rejected, and also you should be able to file a state return separately electronically.
I've been using for years. I love it! But one major improvement should be the download from institutions. If the user has downloaded once already a second download should overwrite the previous one. Instead you end up with duplicate data. So $50,000 worth of income becomes $100,000 etc.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
I have used H&R software for years, so I’m familiar with it (quirks and all). As TurboTax becomes more expensive, H&R stays about the same. There may be better packages out there (especially for newbies), but for the price, you can’t beat it.
Imported employment and financial info fine, but did not update my Maryland 'Payment Voucher' after I sent in a check with an extension. When I finished taxes in August and included the extension payments (Fed & MD) H&R Block still printed the Payment Voucher as if I still owed money, but the rest of the MD forms were correct that I was due a refund (having paid already).
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import
It works relatively well but lea ves many unanswered questions. You imply meanings in words that are by IRS or Legal jargon, remember we morons don't understand your terminology, be explicit in identifying your meaning
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import
The program does a great job on Fed returns but falls short on State returns. Sparse with interview completion. However, I will continue to use the program.
