We trusted that H&R Block sent right away, our electronic payment we set up at the moment we sent our file income tax. We received a letter from IRS saying that they did not receive our payment.

one family tax scenario that is not handled at all - or extremely poorly - involves a married couple, two income household, where for reasons of work requirements, one spouse must declare residency in another state, and that state has no income tax. As such - at the federal level we file with a status of married jointly, but for state tax purposes, the one spouse needs to file under the status as married, but filing separately. the inherent problems of trying to get the system to calculate the state taxes due correctly is huge.. way more than i care to describe, but have your internal analysts test this out and you will see precisely all the difficulties. hope this helps.
