Sorry to not have North Dakota nonresident and Minnesota property tax credit not included in your software. Made for a lot of extra work. MN property tax was included, but would note efile. Lots of paperwork to manage.

I’ve used H & R for the last six years and I’ve found it to be easy to use and thorough. I’ve used two or three other software systems and this seems to be the best and most reasonably priced.

The two biggest issues I have with this software are that when you are asked a question in many cases there is no explanation as to what the answer is attempting to solve, especially in the area of 'vacation rentals'. The other issue is that when you input data, it's difficult, if not impossible to see the result in the return to determine if you've entered the information correctly and if the result is flowing to the correct forms and is handled correctly. Need to be able to access the IRS form directly while working on the return and not just the worksheet.

... garbage out. I don't blame the program, but it could help a little by adding some reminders and checks on what to enter, like previous tax payments. Also an email with a checklist in early December would be helpful!

I have used the H&R Block program for many years. In fact, I also worked for H&R Block for better than 20 years. I'm a bit prejudiced.
I answered excellent for 'clear instruction' but the State of Mn. is very confusing because they can't get their act together and go along with the Federal - not your fault.
