Have used H&R Block software for 10 years. It's a simple straightforward process of just answering questions and filling in the blanks, one at a time as they are presented to me. Filing is online and simple. I don't have to dread doing taxes anymore.

The deluxe software didn’t help answer my rental questions. I had to call IRS several times. It basically had the same features as the Basic program but with the addition of a worksheet. Will continue to purchase the Basic from now on.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Every time I did my tax return, starting from beginning to end and pretty much inputting everything the same, I kept getting different totals. If course all amount were large and we owed state and federal. Never owed both until the last couple of years.
