Can't Update

I installed then tried to update before proceeding, but the program would not update. I proceeded through my return - no problems - then saved and tried to update again. No change - tried the on line advice - Disk Utility etc. no luck. VERY FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER !!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to import
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked Great and Easy to use

I have been using this software for many years and am always very happy with it. It works great and is very easy to use. I was a little disappointed this year that the final version didn't come out until well into April, but that is the fault of our government and I filed without the last update.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Even though the nature of my income changed, it was easy to navigate the program with those things that were new to me. Taxcut makes the difficult task of preparing taxes much easier.

TWO STARS SAYS IT ALL

I WAS NOT THRILLED FROM THE TIME I DOWNLOADED OVER INTERNET UNTIL I WAS FINISHED. I FOUND YOUR SYSTEM DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE AND WITH POOR INSTRUCTIONS TO FIND SPECIFIC ITEMS. THERE WERE PAGES WHERE THE INSTRUCTIONS SAID TO SCROLL DOWN TO FIND WHAT I NEEDED BUT THERE WAS NO WAY TO SCROLL. I HAVE BEEN USING H&R BLOCK HOME SYSTEMS FOR MANY YEARS AND ALWAYS WAS VERY SATISFIED. I HOPE THAT MY PROBLEMS DIDNT COME FROM MY ADVANCED YEARS BUT I DONT BELIEVE IT DID. I HAVENT DECIDED IF I WILL USE YOU NEXT YEAR OR NOT.

2017 Tax PGM - Great

A little disappointed that not all forms were available in February but worked out OK as didn't receive all my needed info until March!! Pgm worked very well.
Pros: Easy to install, Maximizes refund, Fast

1040 Deluxe Tax

I like the update from prior year, which expedites completion of return and forms (e.g., carryover amounts). Some fields are a bit confusing, especially on Form 4835 where income or deductions do not fit into white boxes thereon.

Next year include another line that tells what amount of deductions you would need to not itemize and adjust it as you add deductions. It would have saved me a lot of time to not put in deductions and just use the standard deduction

Not as expected

I was told that H&R Block software was easy to do. Disagree. I found the pages to insert information needed very awkward to use. The BIGGEST issue was the fact that Social Security does not provide a Federal ID; therefore, the box was left blank. Because the box wasn't filled in, we were not able to file as an e-file. We printed out the many, many pages and will have to send the tax return ourselves. Very, very disappointed. Will not use your software ever again, never, never, ever.
