Not user freindly to track down data problems.

My cover page showed only 3 of 4 TIAA-CREF 1099-Rs; but did show # 5 Merrill Lynch 1099-R. 1 Data Verification was displayed. I went to the 1099-R section and clicked "Print" it printed 35 pages of Boiler Plate with no data and finally 5 pages that showed box 13 data was my problem. You can't compare forms for the error?
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues

Great product

We've been using this software for many years and with good results every year. It is easy and straightforward to use and covers all the normal tax issues we've ever needed. Never had any problems with it.

I am a CPA who no longer works in public practice. It has been years since i filed my own return on Lacerte but using this software was a painless way to file this on my own after a long hiatus. Pro Tip: let the software import your investment 1099! I will be a repeat customer next year.

Deluxe program (and state) continue to impress

Our tax returns are somewhat complicated, but the program asks all the right questions and asks for all the necessary information. In one or two situations where I thought there might be a glitch, the Help function provided quick and correct answers. I would also add that it's a better value than the completion since I can do a Schedule D without pay extra for a more expensive program.

Much easier than Turbo Tax

I've been using H&R Block for the last couple years after being a long time Turbo Tax user. I've found that the import tool of previous tax returns to be quicker and more efficient that Turbo Tax. If I had one gripe, it's that every year, my Mortgage Interest Paid does not copy over to the Mortgage Credit Certificate form. Other than that, the instructions for all sections are straight forward and provide plenty of references to understand what needs to be input.

I’m so glad I had H&R Block’s Tax Software. I’m 84 years old so it took me longer than the average person. Don’t know what I would have done with a hard to use program. This one was so easy with lots of helps & explanations along the way.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
Cons: Hard to fix issues
