Had to pay twice to file state

Federal rejected, corrected filing required me to pay AGAIN for state filing. Then, rejected corrected filing. Had to paper file to keep from paying fees again.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software worked well. But I had to make sure I filled by a certain date, or H&R Block would jack up the price. They are not to be trusted.

I used software and filled electronic. My return was denied and had to send proof of income. The only income I had was social security and 401k distribution. My AGI was $9,500.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed!

After filing my returns I found mistakes that I would have thought the software should have caught. Now I will have to file amended returns and the over $600. error for my New York State return will be taken out of my account until I can refill and then they get around to returning my money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waste of time and energy

I've gone thru your software twice to create a tax return that is consistent with my income and a standard deduction the last time showing no tax.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare, Hard to install, Hard to import

Have been using he block software for a few years. Much easier to navigate than previous years. At first I didn't realize I should delete previous years data before manually entering current data.... dividend, interest, etc. Should note to delete before manually entering updated info. Filing procedure much easier to navigate. Love the program.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fails on joint return

Joint return wants information on spouse previous return which did not exist.
IRS rejected efile because of theis, had to mail return.
