I love the H & R Block software. The step by step format and guides help make tax preparation a lot less "taxing". It provides a lot of instruction and is extremely user friendly.

H R Block Free Gift

I completed my friends' return using the free disc receive.
I was amazing the ease in which I was able to complete and efile the Federal return which as accepted in a short 2 hours. Thank-you for the wonderful gift.

Poor Handling of Medical Savings Accounts

We have Medicare Advantage MSA's and found it difficult to navigate your program this year. Had to ask questions in Google and analyze the Form 8889 For HSA 's. Not sure if it's your software or just the way the IRS wrote to instructions but it was difficult and have been using your software for years. Almost would up paying the 50% penalty tax at one point.

2016 software compatibility

Great software , only wish it was still compatible with XP. Have 8 years worth of returns on my old desktop computer. Couldn't load this years software on it, so I had to copy last years files over to a newer computer.
Cons: Hard to install, Hard to import
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Have used H&R Block for the past 6+ years. No matter how complex or simple your needs the software is easy to follow and gets you the best refund based on your situation. Changing conditions from year to year it picks up on it and helps you adjust every step of the way.
