I have been using H&R Block for 5 years. This is the first time I have really been disappointed.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to enter data

Everything was going fine and I was happy with my refund until the IRS bounced it for not having a correct AGI. Once I got the AGI information, this software's Help and other information on screens did nothing to help me put the AGI information where it belonged. The instructions call for Opening the return, File, Filing options, Next then sign the federal return. This information is not correct. It took me a good 15 minutes to locate where I needed to put the correct AGI number.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I have been using your product for filing my Tax Returns for years and have always been very happy with what I can accomplish with it. I am retired and 86 years old and at my age I could not get the job done with out your software.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast

This is my second year using H&R Block software, last year was very easy and smooth. This year not so much, had to work to find deductions for personal property taxes. When I was ready to e-file the software would not let me put in last years adjusted gross income, because I had used the software last year, they said it would be put in automatically. The IRS kept rejecting my return because the adjusted gross income submitted was wrong. I finally gave up and mailed in my return.
Pros: Easy to install, Maximizes refund, Easy to import

I've been using H&R Block tax software to help prepare my Federal and State Income Taxes since 2011. Simple, fast, and clear cut; and with H&R Block tax professionals ready to assist if you need them, it's well worth the money and peace of mind to me.

Why allow 5 free federal e-files? Why not 1 federal and 1 state to eliminate another filing fee?
