Penalty!

When I submitted my federal tax return, I included my debit card information to pay the taxes. Apparently that part didn't make the journey because I received a bill from the government with a hefty for not paying my taxes. Not happy!
Pros: Easy to prepare

I've been using H&R Block software for years, and it never disappoints. Always quick and easy to install and use. Very user friendly, as in I feel like I'm "talking" to a live tax preparer.

Interview process makes it fairly easy. Ability to download broker statements is a nice feature. The open "issues" at the end that must be addressed before electronically filing can sometimes be difficult to navigate through. In one case, I had to make up a number just to get the issue to disappear.

Non Functional for E filining

Your software has a block or a bug that prevents disability recipients from e-filing, Through the software and through manual modification of the 1040 as directed by your software. You cannot do as you are instructed and forced to file conventionally. A large inconvenience to someone whom is disabled.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You’ve eliminated TALKING to a tax pro

Last year had a problem that was easy to resolve with an ACTUAL conversation with a tax pro. This year I could only chat online. The experience was TERRIBLE. I texted with a Nikki S who was useless. My guess is she knew the issues but her communication skills via online chat were awful. BRING BACK THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACTUALLY SOESK TO THE PRO.
