I have used the product for many years and this year for whatever reason would not log in and connect when it was time to register. I had to go through the process of entering all of my taxes in again with another company, however, at the very last minute the initial expense went through.
Don’t know what happened, but as a constant “ower” to Feds, I wait to pay. This year sucked. I had to print and mail and get proof of mailing. I have bought this product specifically to avoid having to print / sign / take to post office / pay for proof of mailing. I truly hope this was a one off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used HR Blocks basic software to start my 2023 taxes. This was my first and last year using HR Block. I was filing as single with a dependent. I ended up having some issues with getting filed, and was receiving error messages that I could not solve. The "solutions" or tips provided by the automated system did not help. I ended up upgrading to have a HR Block tax professional help me. She was able to get submitted after working with me on and off for about 24 hours. However, for the first time in my life, my tax credit has been delayed and I received a letter from the IRS with next steps and details to fill in about my return. Whether or not this has anything to do with HR Block is yet to be seen, but I am not satisfied. My tax return is still being held, and I'm not 100% sure why yet. But the fact I had a professional do my taxes and I'm having problems with the IRS cannot be a good sign.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
