Seems I inadvertently selected the clean vehicle credit form 8936. No data was entered and at the end of return was receiving messages that if data not entered the return would likely be rejected. I figured out what happened but was not able to delete the 8936 and/or 8936 schedule A forms. Tried to no avail, I had to give up on the return and start a new one from scratch. What a pain!! Don't understand that when you are in the form section and you have the option to delete the form it doesn't work. A problem with just the 8936 or is this a bigger issue with deleting any selected form?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Again using H&R Block's tax preparation software, it was a breeze. Some changes made me do a bit of research, but the dialogue took me through preparation like a breeze. It wasn't simple, as I think I had fourteen pages when all finished. Unfortunately, with some attachments I had to use USPS to mail it in, but that's acceptable. Great to use this system each year, as this is probably my 15th year using Block's version. I've even passed on the use to several of my grandchildren who also use State versions.
It did suffice to fill in my taxes for last year but previously I did not have to reenter all bank, employer, market, etc name, address & EIN number. My wife and I had all name & address pulled from 2022 file but that was it. Very little help with crypto investments, that is going to be a killer in the future.
I’ve been using block for 10 years. There was a bug that prevented filing to the IRS. Support was non existent. I spent 3 days in a panic worried about getting a late penalty. You have one job, allow users to file their taxes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
