Easy to follow

I always use HRB program for tax preparation. Waiting for my refund.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast

Missing details regarding QCD

The reason for this late review is that we just received a Notice from the IRS concerning the QCD that we made in 2016. Apparently the electronic filing did not have sufficient information regarding the details of the QCD. Because I also filed our 2017 return with a QCD we will probably get a penalty notice sometime next year.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Software problems

Program constantly filled in fields wrong between Federal and State forms, then refused to allow me to e-file my state taxes because of the mistakes it made when it deleted all my information from my federal filing as I was filling in my state info
Cons: Hard to import

Choosing payment option

The program would not let me choose a way to pay taxes due. Three options given were pay electronically, pay with credit /debit card or mail in check. I tried all 3 options and I kept getting a window saying to select an option to pay. Based on this, I cannot recommend this software to anyone.

Errors in software

Did not carry foreign tax credit to the 1040; tax exempt dividends amount shown on the 1040 was bogus; had to manually override these errors and mail the return, software would not allow efile. Totally dissatisfied with this product.
Pros: Easy to import
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to fix issues

Update function did not work

The update function put me in a continuous loop of downloading and updating, I finally got the ability to submit a return after doing a complete installation.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to install
