I used the other major tax software for years. A few years ago they required me to use a more expensive version to be able to add my investments. This software allows investment and costs less then a third of the other brand. Ill never go back.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have always used this program in the past with good results. This year I was ;not asked about our IRA's and didn't notice the error until I sent my taxes to IRS and was doing my State taxes. I went back and tried to make the correction but I couldn't figure out how to get the program to let me make the changes - so I had to submit the correction on paper. i was sure disgusted with the program.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your tax prep software sometimes requires going through multiple steps to place a value in a position. Also, one should be able to select a line and if that line has to come from another line or form, bring that line/form up. Also, there is no way to go through a quick review filling out just the necessary values and seeing what the possible results without submitting this review.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
