H&R Block Basic Software is an exceptional program that has advanced features to cover all tax issues. A basic and low price for a product that other companies require additional charges for expanded area of tax preparation. The basic software covers all tax issues for individual and /joint Federal tax submission

I have used Blocks software for several years and have found it satisfactory. I once was an Enrolled Agent and had 15 years of tax prep experience. This year I had problems in entering stock sales that were not reported to the IRS so it took a lot of time trying to get it to allow electronic filing. I still think the sales were not entered completely correctly but I think my Sch D was as it should be. I have not had this problem in the past. So I hope next year's program will be ok for me.

I've been using this tax software since it was "Andrew Tobias' TaxCut (25 years ago?). It has consistently improved year over year, and I have yet to get audited or notice of an error from the IRS. I tried TurboTax once, but came back.
