I like that the program is exactly what is used by actual H&R Block representative in the office, which is what convinced me to do it on my own.
I would love to see a way to “test” a decision before it gets locked into the form. For example, what if I could test to see what would happen in I elected to do a teacher’s deduction schedule and see what it gets me, and then have the option to NOT use it, and then continue on from there.
Along the same principle, instead of having us click on the arrow “next” to move on to the next thing, why not have it ask human questions before moving on to the next thing. Often, I have found that I have moved out of one subject into another without really deciding that I’m finished with it. I know that you can use the “back” arrow, but often I’m not sure that it allows me to undo what I just did.
Also, it’s fine that you prompt me to upgrade to State and include a price in order to download that part of the program. But you didn’t tell me that there was also a fee to actually submit the state fee online. I paid it, but it would have been better to let me know that there was also going to be an online submission fee.
Satisfied with it, but I only use it for basic filing – nothing complicated.
