I'm quite happy with my new laptop, but after having my old one for 13 years I've experienced some learning curves which sometimes cause a little angst. I've had to adapt to new practices, some of which are good, and others not so good. It would have been nice to be able to do an automatic transfer of data from my old laptop to this new one so everything stayed the same.

I have been using HP computers for 20 plus years, they have proven themselves to me. I like the larger monitor offered by HP, many others do not. A very nice unit, just have to get used to windows 11, coming from windows 7.

Great product. Love the touch screen and display. Touch pad takes some time to get use to, very sensitive to touch. PC start up is much quicker than my old HP Envy. Overall quicker that my old pc. Keyboard is nice to the touch.

Prior to this laptop, I had an HP notebook computer which was a gift from work. I didn't expect much from a notebook but was pleasantly surprised that it satisfied my basic computer needs. The notebook was very reliable and gave me good service for many years.
I finally outgrew the notebook and needed something more advanced. I researched various makes/models of laptops and decided the HP Envy Laptop with the 17-inch screen was perfect for me. Since my HP notebook worked so well, I was leaning towards staying with the HP brand anyway.
The HP Envy laptop has a crisp display, the lighted keyboard is really nice, and the performance is just what I needed. I generally use my laptop for reading the news, investing, shopping, etc., and this computer is perfect for my needs. The case is attractive, solid in construction and has all the necessary external ports. I like the large mouse pad and find it very easy to use. Setting up the computer for the first time was very easy and HP made the process very intuitive. The HP diagnostic tools which come with the computer are nice to have and very simple to use. The laptop didn't come with a lot of unnecessary software and ended up only removing a few programs I didn't have use for.
The HP Envy Laptop is a great value, with features comparable to many laptops which cost much more. This is a great laptop for home or work, and I anticipate many years of good service from it.

We use our phones for all our day to day activities. This machine acts as our Chromebook.
I used to do a lot of photography. I am trying to increase my activities. This machine will run the very best tools.
I have spent a lot of time with various robot platforms. Most of the code is written in c++, c#, and python.
I also play video games on PS4/5. This machine will allow me to play some Xbox games.
I have a subscription to office 365 mostly to backup all the files on this machine. I find the file system alien to what I am used to. It can be changed but they don't make it easy. I have not tackled organizung the apps yet.
