Samsung finally got it right......almost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a few of these Samsung ultra-wide monitors in the past and this is by far the best one I have owned yet!
Out of the box this is a very sleek and beautiful monitor. It will look great sitting on any desk. It doesn't have the ultra-curve like previous models did, but I like just the slight curve better. I find I get less headaches or discomfort from using it for long periods of times as I did with previous models.
Not only is this a computer monitor, but it is a smart TV as well. You can watch the Samsung TV, Netflix and any other streaming apps like that on it. I love that they still have the picture in picture display so you can have TV on one half of the monitor and your computer screen on the other half simultaneously. Definitely one of my favorite features of this monitor!
Functionality wise, the screen is absolutely beautiful! Nice crisp and rich colors with deep blacks and the 240 refresh rate makes it perfect for gaming. You have all the inputs you need like HDMI, USBC, and Display Port. The monitor also has built in speakers as well. They aren't great, but they will get the job done and are fine for watching TV or streaming video.
I had a small problem where the screen would go black for a few seconds and then come back on randomly. I found out that I had to update the drivers and software for my video card and now it runs perfectly. So if you happen to have that problem, just do some updates and you should be good to go!
As it sits right now, it is probably one of the best monitors that you can buy on the market today! I would definitely check it out if you are in the market for a ultra-wide monitor. I think you would be hard pressed to find anything better.

More than meets the eye

I love using it to game on my ps5, my wife uses it for work and she even can stream her favorite shows while she works in split screen mode. The monitor also allows you to download your favorite streaming services or watch tv over the internet. The screen resolution is top tier and has no problems keeping up with my PS5 games. Overall the monitor is amazing and I’m thinking of getting a second one.

Oh My Gosh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know where to begin. Probably with the fact that it's longer than my 4 year old. This monitor was so big I had to get a different desk. That being said IT IS WORTH IT! It's important to not that not every video game will scale to this resolution. Especially first person shooters because it could create an anti-competitive atmosphere. So my favorite game Overwatch gets black barred on the sides of the screen.
It did get me to finally cheat on my beloved OW and I installed HellDivers2 and HAD A BLAST. It's overwhelming but a positive overwhelming. Once installed, the monitor continued to surprise me by having a remote, tv/streaming functionality and a really nifty backlight that lights the wall behind you to your color choice or to match the pixels on the screen. Samsung knocked it out of the part with this one. I'm never going back!

Amazing gaming

My previous monitors were 2 32' Dell
I am running Win 11 with with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX3080 video card.
This is an amazingly wide monitor. It is super bright with very rich colors. The back lit display adds a new but subtle layer to gaming.
You can split screen for work and gaming. You have 2 truly side by side panes to keep up with what ever you are working on. No more having to move a file between monitors whose resolution is never exactly the same.
The built in speakers mean less clutter on your desk. For normal sound for such as TV or zoom meetings they work just fine. The built in smart TV capability lets you watch linear television or streaming apps like Netflix.
The default resolution for my video card was 5120x1440 at 120Hz.
With my previous setup there was some control lag. It was processor heavy on the computer side and you noticed the lag. For me these was less lag from mouse to monitor.

Out of the box:
leave the monitor in the box. find the base that attaches to the back of the monitor and attach that first while the monitor is in the box. This can protect the screen from damage. You push it into place then slide till you feel it click into place. The adapter for the power cable is pretty large so plan on where to keep it.

Some things I noticed. This is not symmetrically larger than a 16:9 monitor. this is 32:9. So this is wider but not taller. There are some games you wont notice the less vertical height but some you will notice. As far as I can tell this is "4k" for resolution. When viewing a webpage in full screen, since this is stretched you may notice some blurring in images. You can always revert to split screen.

ULTIMATE workstation, maximum efficiency

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had every iteration of the monitor experience from the humble beginnings of CRT, the 15" flat panel, to dual then triple screens. Then the leap forward happened as manufactures started making wide monitors with the idea of replacing multiple panels which I held off on for the longest time feeling that individual monitors still maximized the benefit. Then I started with a 32" wide and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and now I have arrived at the pinnacle of screen technology. First, the absolute massive size of this widescreen allows for three full size screens up at a time. I usually split this between work, web browsing and media consumption as exemplified in my photo. I can simultaneously multitask or more realistically, procrastinate without taking my eyes off any one aspect of the screen. The single screen allows you to change the dimensions of each window to maximize the experience, for example I could make the video screen take of 2/3 of the monitor while keeping my eye on emails or my work. As you can see, I have my monitor connected via HDMI to my laptop for a seamless desktop experience. The monitor detects the connection without problem but whats great is that I could also remotely connect and use samsung dex to connect my phone as well. Now what sets this monitor apart from other brands? Of course, the Samsung ecosystem. This monitor integrates into Samsung smart things. I get a notification on my monitor when my laundry is done, when my fridge door is ajar, where my smart tags are located. Talk about creating an ecosystem, Samsung knocked this out of the park. Now lets talk gaming, at 240hz, there is no appreciable lag at all. The curved screen makes you feel enveloped in the experience and the colors feel super vibrant. I love the included remote control, you have all the functions of a smart TV as well being able to stream all your favorite apps. The speaker is better than monitor quality but not as good as TV quality but paired with a blue-tooth speaker and it feels absolutely perfect. This has replaced the need to have a TV! The design is beautiful and is not an eyesore, it looks super modern and futuristic. This has been one of my favorite purchases and has pushed me further into the glorious future of technology.
