[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the Odyssey G95SD for a little while now and I’m really enjoying it. The 49-inch OLED screen looks amazing, especially the deep blacks and sharp vibrant picture. The extra-wide display is great for gaming, but I actually use it just as much for work and having multiple windows open at once. Setup was straightforward and the monitor feels very premium. It does take up a lot of desk space, so that’s something to keep in mind. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it if you want a large glare free ultrawide OLED monitor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although mine is an Older Gen (G95SC) with older panel tech, after 3 years I have yet to see any kind of degradation to my OLED panel, and I use my PC on it most of the time, gaming and some productivity. But still going strong.
I’ve had zero issues with it — it’s a beast right out of the box, loaded with every bell and whistle you’d expect from a 2026 flagship. Just make sure you have a strong PC setup to fully utilize it. I’m running a
i9‑4900K Zotac 4080 RTX Super, Dark Hero motherboard, SSD storage, 64GB of RAM, Lian‑Li water cooling, Strimer Plus V2 12-pin and 24-pin Lian Li RGB - SL-INF - Fans, Lian Li EVO XL case,
This monitor pairs perfectly with that level of hardware, especially when running at 5120×1440.
There’s no need to worry about burn‑in. It has automatic safety features built in that you can’t disable or misconfigure, and I still added my own extra precautions. For example, I set the monitor to turn off automatically after a certain amount of time if left idle, and to dim the brightness if a static image stays on-screen for too long.
It’s a shame some people have had negative experiences in their reviews, because Samsung stays on top of updates and quality‑of‑life improvements.
As a gamer, I fully approve of the Samsung 49‑Inch Odyssey G9 (G95SD) as both a TV replacement and a PC gaming monitor. 👍
This is by far the best, clearest, sharpest and fastest I've ever had.....WOW this is by Fall man I mean the best the clearest the sharpest just the most beautifulest scene out of all of the ones I've ever had this is top of the line beautiful
The wide screen 49" monitor is a great alternative to having multiple monitors at once seamlessly. I use as a split screen for multiple uses. Streaming, video creation, etc... The contrast and brightness is phenomenal. The responsiveness is top tier. I can play a game while handling business at the same time. I would recommend this monitor for video creation and business or research. A++++ from me.
