A dream come true

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently picked up the Samsung 49-inch OLED ultrawide monitor, and I must say, it's an absolute keeper, and fits my needs for both for work and play.
The sheer amount of screen space is one of my favorite features. With a ultrawide setup, I can have multiple windows open simultaneously without feeling cramped. Whether working with documents, browsing the web, or using creative software, everything feels less cluttered. It’s like having two monitors seamlessly merged into one.
The 240Hz refresh rate works well, if you have a computer that can push those higher rates. Games end up being buttery smooth. I’m really liking FPS games with the quick response rate. This is my dream setup, which is further enhanced by how well it works for my WFH setup. I can easily run multiple apps side by side, without having the middle blank space you would have with two monitors. I primarily use office products and drafting software. The screen size is perfect for those big and complex spreadsheets. The Picture-by-Picture (PBP) allow me to split the screen into different zones, which is a lifesaver for productivity.
The OLED technology truly shines with incredible picture quality. The deep blacks and rich contrast are perfect for both work and entertainment. Watching movies or working on detailed visual projects feels immersive, thanks to the superior color accuracy and contrast.
In conclusion, the Samsung 49-inch OLED ultrawide monitor is a perfect blend of performance, aesthetics, and functionality.

One big problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One problem with this monitor. After I unboxed it, I had to replace the desk and get a nice custom monitor arm. This monitor is so amazing I had to get the desk and monitor arm to complement it.
Picture quality is amazing and the features are just unreal I haven't had time to go through them all. It's curved but not like older style it has much less of a curve which makes it much better if you playing a game or doing work on it.
When it comes to some features. The picture quality is amazing and it does adapt on its own if your gaming or want to take a break and watch TV or a movie.
Setup and link to my Samsung account and smart things too less than 2 minutes.
You really have to check this one out.

OLED vs. VA Panel – A Night and Day Difference

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I paired the 49" Odyssey G9 DQHD Gaming Monitor with the Ergotron HX Wall Monitor Arm. Previously, I used a 49" Monoprice Darkmatter monitor with a VA panel. The difference between the OLED display on the Odyssey and my old Monoprice monitor is striking. It's hard to capture in photos, but the blacks on the OLED are truly deep, and the colors and HDR are much more vibrant. I couldn't even use HDR on my Monoprice monitor as it made content look worse.
Swapping out the monitor was straightforward, and the VESA mounts aligned perfectly with the Ergotron wall mount. Due to its significant power draw, this monitor uses an external power brick, consuming 220 watts compared to my old monitor's 43 watts at 200 nits brightness.
The monitor also includes smart TV features, allowing you to install and watch apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and others. While I primarily use this as my PC monitor and don't often need these features, a picture-in-picture option in a small window would be useful. It would allow me to easily scroll through channels with the included remote while multitasking on my computer. Currently, you can split the screen to watch TV on one side and view your PC display on the other, but I would prefer a small window for smart TV content that doesn't affect the PC's refresh rate.
I have Sony bookshelf speakers mounted on my wall, connected to an amplifier via an optical cable to my PC. The monitor can output sound via Bluetooth to my amplifier, allowing me to enjoy audio from various smart TV apps through my speakers—a feature I appreciate.
When turning on the monitor, it takes a moment to start up, likely due to the smart TV features. It resembles powering on an old CRT TV with a short animation. Like other Samsung products, this monitor can connect with the SmartThings app. I have also integrated this app with my Bespoke Washer & Dryer heat pump combo, Bespoke robot vacuum, and third-party hardware like smart lights and a Nest thermostat.
Working from home part of the week, this monitor allows me to multitask efficiently without needing multiple screens. Although HDR isn't perfect, it's better than on my previous Monoprice monitor and is usable. Gaming is beautiful and immersive thanks to the expansive screen real estate this monitor offers.

Excellent Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had tested several Samsung monitors and this one again didn't disappoint me. The setup was rather straightforward and feasible with just one person. Upon setting up, the color is vibrant and pleasing, perhaps just a bit too saturated for me. But this is addressed with the calibration process with the Smart Things app. The screen curve was well-built and added a sense of immersion without overdoing it. The fast refresh rate is impressive and contributes to a better gaming experience. The issue I encountered was in the gaming mode, there seems to be momentary flashing problems. There was also some error in pixel interpolation where regions of the screen (often in the center) where a line would zigzag when the computer was wakened up. But it has disappeared and I haven't encountered the problem recently.
All in all, it is an excellent monitor for both gaming and work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is amazing. Compare it to the curved 49 they came out with a year ago and it's just leaps and bounds.
Energy save mode. Less of a curve for a more realistic gaming experience, sound, even a remote so you can access your favorite TV or movie right from your monitor. Use as 1 large or 2 split screen modes.
Top monitor is the older samsung unit. New one for this review is bottom

It has completely transformed my work space and has increased my productivity to complete assignments, tasks and enjoy entertainment like watching football games, streaming movies and shows, and playing educational videos for my children. It has a beautifully designed, sleek, thin 49” screen with 1800R curve that is not too curved or too flat. This length of the screen is like combining two 24” monitor into one. The features are remarkable and as a college student who needs to view multiple documents at a time, I was able to display up to 4 different screens with ease. I mostly used the three-window setup but appreciated that I had up to 8 screen modifications to choose from. I often work late at night so the adaptive picture and eye saver mode significantly helped to minimize the eye strain during the late-night hours. The screen brightness was so incredible that I did not even have to use a lamp or light at my workstation when working at night.
Installation was a breeze with only 3 steps and minimal hardware needed. It includes a mounting stand and a wall mount setup. The mounting stand is ergonomic and allows you to swivel, tilt and adjust the height to your desired level. It also comes with a remote that is small and responsive. The remote includes multiple features and quick access buttons for Netflix, Disney, Prime Video, and Samsung TV Plus. The only downside to the remote is it is rechargeable but did not come with a charging cord. The setup process took a few minutes but was not difficult and provided personal customizations to your liking. A Samsung account is required for setup but this was also a simple process to create. After setup, an update took place immediately and lasted for about 10 minutes or so.
This monitor is perfect for work, gaming and for entertainment. It comes equipped with preinstalled apps like Hulu, Disney, YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime with room to download three additional apps of your choice. You can also easily cast to the monitor from your mobile phone. It comes equipped with speakers that provide optimal sound and volume. It also has a headphone jack for personal use. It is energy efficient and battery consciousness. There are also multiple connections that include USB-C, HDMI, and DP connections.

Best monitor money can buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using monitor for every day use to multitask and it works like a dream. Having 3 windows open across the screen for max productivity is awesome. Gaming on 5120x1440 resolution makes it so much more immersive as well. I highly recommend this monitor to any who need dual monitors or like to game.
