I purchased two — one

I purchased two — one to use with my Turkey Day deep fryer. It didn't work once the device was submerged in the hot oil. I had asked if it would work in this manner and they said yes. Another lousy thermometer.

We’re sorry to hear your probe was damaged. The MEATER Pro is designed to handle temperatures of up to 1000°F, so it should be able to withstand deep frying. However, if the temperature exceeds this limit or changes quickly, it may cause damage to the unit.
