Fantastic exactly what I needed

Fantastic product. After ruining my standard meter on the bbq I decide to get the meter pro and it is worth the little bit extra I smoke and do high heat bbq with this and it’s perfect every time.
I’ve been using the original version of the Meater for years with great results but with the fear of blowing up the device during a sear in the rear, not any more…. The Meater pro does not disappoint, I’m love’n the 1000 F ambient temp threshold! From ribeyes to thick cut pork chops to fillet mignons, fear the sear no more! Second time around and once again a great device at a great price with killer features!
I loved my first MEATER Pro so much I just bought a second one. So far used them for individual pieces of meat and they turn out perfectly every time. Looking forward to making some bigger beef and birds with them this summer.

No fault grilling

I’ve been using the pro for 3 years! Works perfect everyday.
I’ve purchased multiple meters and even the latest purchase was a gift for friends which I’ve done multiple times. In the last month I’ve had both of my meters one is early generation meter plus and the meter 2+ have stopped working completely. If I did not already purchase the gift, I probably would not have only because I see they’re failing on me. I thoroughly do enjoy them when they work. I have created a ticket and will have to call you in order to get it fixed. The meter 2+ intermittently works in the beginning and then it has now completely stopped. It shows a green light when charging, but will not last for a few minutes and stops.

The intermittent operation and rapid power loss you’re describing with your MEATER Pro could be related to battery performance or internal power management. Charging indicators sometimes show normal, but battery capacity or circuitry issues can affect how long the probe functions once disconnected.

I purchased the MEATER pro to supplement the MEATER plus that I already own. The MEATER plus works great in the kitchen oven and I’m very satisfied. I bought the MEATER pro because of its ability to work at temperatures to 1000 degrees for my Weber grill and Traeger smoker. I was very disappointed in its performance. I used it on the Traeger to cook a brisket The readings on the thermometer were all off internal temperature by as much as 50 degrees I used the Traeger probe along with the MEATER in the cook and the readings were right on. If I relied on the MEATER the brisket would have been ruined the cook time on the MEATER kept increasing to almost 20 hours which was crazy. I returned it for a full refund.
