I wanted to love this Meater Pro and it left me disappointed with the connectivity distance. It seemed ti work well for my using the smoker but not in the conventional oven. It seemed to really struggle with keeping that bluetooth connection. Otherwise l’m really liking it.

Hello, and thank you for your comments regarding the MEATER Pro. Sometimes heavier walled cooking appliances can reduce the range between the probe and the charger, but they are often used in conventional ovens without issue. While you've probably already considered this, if the probe is being covered in the oven, such as by aluminum foil or inside of a pot with a lid, this will obviously drop the signal range even more. But to make sure we are not missing something, please reach out to MEATER Customer Service (support.meater.com/contact-us) to have one of our agents check everything with you. Both our phone and chat lines are open until 10:00 PM MT, 365 days of the year.
I had the meater probe in a roast in my pressure cooker. I watched the temperature climb on my Meater app nd suddenly it displayed a warning in a block of red covering the temperature an flashing. I called or had a chat by text and the person I was texting at Meater asked which probe I had. I said the Pro model. He came back with I doubt you have the Pro model. So I ended the chat and haven't used it since.

My meter is very fickle. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t. Very frustrating. Not to mention I can not monitor my cook outside of the home.

Thank you for your review. If you would like to extend your range and connect to WI-FI, allowing you to monitor the cook anywhere as long as your smart device is connected to Wi-Fi, we can use MEATER Link. You will need another smart device that can act as a bridge from your MEATER product's Bluetooth to your home’s Wi-Fi. Due to this, the second device has to remain within Bluetooth range during your cook. Here is a video that explains MEATER Link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP0mt7IcAoM. If you still need help, please contact us by phone or chat and one of our friendly and knowledgeable agents will be happy to help. https://support.meater.com/contact-us/
