I upgraded my old Meater to the Pro hoping the range would be better. I use it in a Green Egg. Unfortunately the range is no better and maybe worse. Cant even stay connected at 50 feet from the Egg.

Thank you for your review of the MEATER Pro. The range can vary a lot depending on obstructions in the cook environment. In open air (line of sight) the probe to charger range is up to 33 ft. From the charger to your smart device is up to 250 ft. It is recommended to keep the charger as close to the appliance as safely possible. The video below will go over range expectations. This was a gift from my wife. I must say I had my doubts but my Turkey was smoked perfectly just under 7 hours. My smoker does not have a temp gauge so it can be tricky to get it.just right. This probe monitored my temp in the smoker and let me work the heat controls to keep it within the desirable cooking temp. I will use this for my outdoor smoking from now on.
