I have used to Meater Pro and found that it is well made, but the probe cannot be connected to a wireless network, only communicates to the Meater app via bluetooth. That means you have to be close to the probe to get info. The Meaterblock solution allows to connect to the wireless network, with greater range.

I like the new probes but haven’t seen much difference from my other ones except for the higher temp range. I have found the outside the food temps very and the cook times are all over the place. Was it worth the price I just don’t know yet time will tell

Absolutely one of the BEST buys I have ever done! REALLY! Makes doing a cook on my pellet smoker and/or propane dry fryer an absolute BREEZE! I've never had a bad cook since using this tool. Perfect results everytime! And with the cost of meats these days, you just can't afford a bad BBQ/cooking experience. Hence, this purchase for me paid for itself already a couple time over! Great investment!
